If you just want attention fast or want to break into the sales aspect much quicker - especially as an unknown creative, Fanart and replicated images (especially done in that "Sakimichan/ Artgerm/ Ross-draw's" quality) will get you noticed. While I understand where you're comming from, I think it all depends on what your goal is, as a creative and which audience you're trying to capture - especially when it comes to getting people to easily identify your work in the form of branding, as the methods you use to attain that fame. A lot of people bought switches this year so it makes sense they'd also get it too & therefore seek out fanart for it) Reply (Also i'm just taking a wild guess but I think one of the reasons your Mipha fanart got a lot of attention is because more people are getting into BotW. Can also be a tool to introduce your characters through crossover/cosplay fanart too Just make sure it's fanart for something you're passionate about, doesn't have to be trending/popular either. As much as I hate to admit it, it's easier to get attention from it. (fr though I made & used a base for some fanart and it STILL got more favs than an original project I spent 2 weeks on)īut my advice is don't give up on original works and passion projects! Following trends & only doing fanart for the attention will turn art into a complete chore because it's not about the process or the joy of making at that point, only about getting likes (besides, following art trends is exhausting since they die out in less than a week & whoop there's a new one, repeat cycle). Ngl been struggling with the same thing lately. Right now we are in a depression the value of money is next to nothing and we all know what is healthy for our bodies yet morons could burn a little extra just to have netflix, hulu, youtubetv, cable etc and curl up into a ball and watch tv as their eyes become damage from the blue light as I am typing this constantly on my out dated computer surrounded by junk. You go out to a show to watch people perform on stage.Īrt = fool = To fool you into thinking things are okay. You go home to your dinner television, and sounds of yesterday and news of tomorrow. You go out to a bar, restaurant, lounge, and drink, talk, dance, etc. What else is to do after the work is done. In defense knows their resources are made by manufacturers but everybody needs to be entertained. Wants = innuendo, travel, space, escape, joy Needs = Visual experience for children, directional, happiness It is called a fetish = When you attach an idea to any object There are a lot of groups on DA that can reach out to a lot of NEW eyes aside from your watchers and the 2 seconds it is on front page. Link to your deviation on some Reddits, share it on Twitter, Insert it into a bazzillion art groups. Species, Bodytype, colors, Type of art, Actions and events in the scene, emotions present.Īnd then SHare your own art all over the place. Tag your work with anything relevant that some random person who doesn't know about you can happen to come across. The only way to find Original content is to search arbitrary words that could lead to something of interest. To find oranginal content, the artist needs to tag their artwork with as many relevent tags as they can so that people who don't know of your character, world, or story can find it. Searching and finding content of Fanart is easier because People already know what they are looking for. It is Easier to Find "Pikachu" in the search than to find my "Orange, green dragon no one knows the name of".
